- 1.1 Purpose of the system
- Control system is intended for automation of control of vacuum arc furnace mechanisms and equipment.
1.2 Intended use of the system- - improving productivity;
- - providing required technological order of operation of the mechanisms;
- - improving technical discipline;
- - improving labour conditions for operating personnel;
- - improving production standards and technologies
- 1.3 Main technical solutions
- ACS of TP of vacuum arc furnace is a hierarchical structure with distributed functions. SYMATIC components are used as a technological platform for development of the system.
- This system is divided into the following control levels according to the requirements of the standard ISA S95:
- Level L0 includes control and measuring equipment, sensors, technical equipment, which preforms functions of automatic block and protection systems, switching control signals to the actuating mechanisms and manual equipment control, local control panels acc. to the working project of control and measuring equipment and automatics.
- Level L1 is implemented on the basis of industrial PLC and performs functions of control of technical process and equipment.
- Level L2 is implemented on the basis of industrial operator panels and PCs, which perform functions of visualization of technical process and other required information acceptance, transfer and processing of production data coming from all of the subsystems.
- Manufacturing process control is carried out in the following modes:
- automated; - - local.
- Software package TIA Portal Professional V13 serves as a software platform.
